The Marketing and Research Internship provides the opportunity for students to gain knowledge and experience working with Naylor Association Solutions, North America’s leading provider of business-to-business media solutions for trade and professional associations.   Interns will work directly with the Marketing & Research department to support their efforts related to promoting clients’ media. This will be done through researching industry information, developing and executing email campaigns, writing social media posts, editing media guides and more. The goal of this program is to give the intern relevant marketing experience so that he or she can compete in the current employment climate while supporting the Naylor Marketing team. The main goal of this position is to promote publications, online projects and events within any number of given industries to enhance ad revenue growth and audience development. This position also provides support for outside sales (publishing department) through lead qualification, industry research, production of sales presentations and proposals, and marketing Naylor’s presence at events geared towards association business development.   The incumbent will handle a range of marketing activity from conducting research and analyzing light data to writing copy and art directing a variety of marketing, pr and sales materials. Specific activity includes the creation of media kits, e-mail marketing campaigns, direct marketing flyers, ads, press releases, and more.

Responsibilities include managing existing Naylor Association clients by providing outstanding customer service, resigning expiring contracts, and developing new streams of revenue through the signing of additional services and product lines; maintaining the overall profitability and revenue growth of each project assigned by driving revenue to meet and exceed sales targets and keeping expenses in line in accordance with corporate standards and objectives, while ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.  This position also supervises and oversees the success of a team of Advertising Sales Representatives.

The position will consist of, but not be limited to, consulting, researching industry trends, issues and concerns, creating content, planning and scheduling projects, attending and participating in trade shows and events, and meeting with association clients. The Content Strategist will coordinate, produce and process editorial information in several ways: 1) independently; 2) with other Naylor editors; 3) with association clients; and 4) with Naylor's internal and external sales staff to facilitate assigned projects through the project creation and production process. The Content strategist will oversee Naylor projects in the respective industry regardless of format (print, digital, etc.).
