Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed/necessary.

1.  General Ledger

  • Assist Revenue Accounting Manager with the month-end revenue and cost recognition process, including calculating, preparing, and posting journal entries to record revenue earned and costs incurred according to the principles of US GAAP
  • Coordinate with other Finance Department staff to reconcile various balance sheet accounts, including AP and AR subledgers to the General Ledger
  • Review all automated journal entries related to revenue, COGS, and payroll to ensure accuracy; work with management and IT to troubleshoot any errors or irregularities

2.   Reporting

  • Review and report on monthly revenue and costs by project for each division to support delivery of monthly and annual reporting packages
  • Work with Account Relationship Managers to provide Clients and Customers with requested ad hoc reporting
  • Provide monthly and quarterly updates to senior management on key balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and assist with additional ad hoc reporting as requested

3.   General

  • Utilize accounting system, billing system, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Identify opportunities for improved departmental efficiencies in revenue and cost recognition processes, and work with management to implement
  • Assist Revenue Accounting Manager with implementation, execution, and maintenance of goals and KPIs within the department

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA a plus
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience, including at least two years in Public Accounting
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels within a corporate environment
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience with enterprise-level accounting systems, databases, and reporting tools; Experience with Concur Invoice and Concur Expense a plus
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Power Point
