  • Overview

    This position is responsible for managing all aspects of marketing activities for Global Exchange Events, to solicit both prospective Supplier representatives and Buyers to attend GEE Exchange Events. The position reports directly to the Group Vice-President, Global Exchange Events.

    Responsibilities

    • Works with the Event Management Sales team to conceive, develop and implement the marketing campaign for each event; including development of collateral material, e-mail campaigns, etc.
    • Position is responsible for all creation, design and execution of all Digital marketing campaigns; e-mail blast campaigns; etc. Works directly with the sales team to determine an individual marketing plan that is industry specific.  Uses the Informz Marketing platform to execute digital campaigns.
    • Sources potential designers, contracts with, provides job specs and requirements and ensures timely delivery of work product of outside graphic artist and/ or Naylor, LLC designers to produce both electronic/ digital and print pieces.
    • Works directly with Converve, the scheduling software system provider to create band produce all of the websites for each event, including content, graphics, etc.
    • Serves as the primary direct contact with Sales Force, the contact management system to ensure the management and for managing all leads, contacts, etc. for the sales team and for all marketing activities. Negotiates new services, modifying the existing; acts as administration with them.
    • Serves as an on-site manager at events, assisting in managing and coordinating various aspects of the event.
    • Providing weekly sales user data reports for the Group Vice President
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • College Degree in Marketing, Communications or Related Area
    • 2 or more years of experience in product of event marketing
    • Experience creating marketing campaigns, e-mail marketing concepts, etc.
    • Familiarity with the Event industry is desirable and helpful, though not required
    • Demonstrated high quality customer service skills
    • Possess proven and demonstrated verbal communication skills, including clear verbal articulation capabilities in all client interactions. Must be able to successfully interact with all levels of clientele management.
    • Must have strong demonstrated writing skills; particularly must be able to write effective, professional e-mails and other forms of written business communications.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and demonstrated capacity to learn and understand other various software systems
    • Ability to travel as required, including working over weekends, etc.
    • Strong work ethic, strong team orientation with a willingness, enthusiasm and vigor to do whatever it takes to get the work accomplished.
